The Walnut Gymnasium offers residents a variety of athletic activities. The Gym boasts two full sized basketball courts and a multipurpose room for classes. The Gymnasium has seasonal sports leagues, as well as open gym times and scheduled fitness and sports related classes. 









Open Gym Schedule 
The Walnut Gymnasium has scheduled hours of open play for basketball, table tennis and badminton. Open Gym activities require a Gymnasium Membership which is $5.00 to start and $1.00 per visit. For more information please contact the Walnut Gymnasium at (909) 444-7959.
Summer Open Gym Schedule

Adult Basketball Leagues: Coed 
Leagues are offered year-round, Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. We offer a Novice and Intermediate division on both Wednesday and Thursday nights. Registration for the Spring 2019 season is now closed. The Fall 2019 season dates will be posted in early August and will begin in September.  Registration is on a first come first serve basis. All games will be held at the Walnut Gymnasium. Players must be 18 years or older to play. For more information please contact the Walnut Gymnasium at (909) 444-7959. 

Walnut Youth Basketball League  
The Walnut Youth Basketball league has two seasons; Spring and Fall. Divisions are co-ed and appropriate for children in first grade to eighth grade. Walnut Youth Basketball is a great opportunity for both the experienced and beginning player to develop fundamentals, learn basic skills, and gain team building experiences. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. League fees are $110 for the first child and $100 for every other child (within the same immediate family) and include 10 games referees, scorekeepers, uniform and award. All new players must have proof of grade upon registration.
Registration for the Fall 2019 season will begin Monday, July 15, 2019 for Walnut Residents and Monday, July 22, 2019 for all others.
Volunteer coaches are needed for all divisions, let us know if you are interested in coaching a team. For more information and availability please call the Walnut Gymnasium (909) 444-7959.

Mayors Cup Badminton Tournament

The City of Walnut invites the community to compete in the 2nd Annual Mayor’s Cup Badminton Tournament. The tournament is open to all levels; C+, C, D, E, and Novice with both Single and Double Events. 

Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their skill, meet other badminton athletes, and win prizes. The opening ceremony will also be presented by City of Walnut Mayor, Andrew Rodriguez and World Champion and Olympic Bronze medal winner, Ying Chen.
