Effective March 17, 2020, the City of Walnut is closed to the public as part of the nationwide effort to reduce the community spread of the Coronavirus. As a result, the City of Walnut will not be able to reload Foothill Transit Passes and MTA EZ Passes. For residents who currently have a Metrolink Quick Card, the City will be able to process payment (check only/NO CASH) and activate cards. Residents are asked to fill out the Metrolink Quick Card order form found here, place their application and payment (check only/NO CASH) in a secured envelope, and drop it in the dropbox located to the right of the main doors at City Hall. Staff will process the application the following business day. Your check will serve as your receipt.  However, if you would like the standard monthly receipt, please include a self-address stamped envelope with your payment.

The City of Walnut is conveniently located near the intersection of the 57, 10, and 60 freeways, just 20 miles east of downtown. The City is served by the Foothill Transit bus system and is located within a mile of the Industry Metrolink station. LAX and Ontario International Airport are both within a half hours drive.

The City also offers a local transportation service to get residents around town and to special service areas. The City’s Dial A Cab transports residents anywhere within five miles of the City and is accessed by calling the Dial A Cab number for pick up. To use the Dial a cab system you must have a Dial A Cab card. Click here to find out more.
