In 19676, this Park was a Bicentennial gift to the City from the residents of Walnut. The William R. Rowland Adobe Ranch House at Lemon Creek Park was restored, and the antiques inside were donated by the Walnut Valley Woman's Club. Funds for the BBQ at the Park were donated by the Junior Walnut Woman's Club, and the fire pit was built by the Walnut Kiwanis Club. The Wisteria vine at the Park is over 175 years old.

Construction Notice

Construction activity on the William R. Rowland Adobe Ranch House at Lemon Creek Park will begin in April 2018.  This project will address deficiencies in the wood portion of the building, including the walls and floor. It is anticipated construction will be completed by June 2018, barring weather or mechanical delays.  Once this final retrofit is completed, the Adobe can be reopened for school and public tours.  While there will be construction fencing surrounding the Adobe House area, use of the park playground and picnic tables will not be affected during this project.
