SUMMER: June - August

4th of July Celebration:
Monday, July 4, 2016
5:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Suzanne Park
Featuring live music, patriotic pooch parade, patriotic face painting, pie-eating contest, food trucks, and Fireworks! Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, canopies and picnic baskets and enjoy the festivities with us (sorry, no alcohol, smoking, BBQ's grills or other cooking appliances allowed). The best places to see the fireworks at approximately 9:00pm are: Suzanne Park and Walnut High School and Suzanne Middle School Soccer Fields. Click here for a detailed flyer.

Summer Concerts:
6:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Creekside Park
The City of Walnut hosts free summer concerts July through early August. Bring a picnic complete with blanket and lawn chairs and enjoy an evening of live entertainment. A nice selection of food is available for sale by local food trucks. Follow us on Facebook to find out which trucks will be in town at each concert. Please note - it is recommended that all attendees wear mosquito repellent.

Stay after each Summer Concert and enjoy a free movie under the stars at Creekside Park. Please note - it is recommended that all attendees wear mosquito repellent.

National Night Out & Concert in the Park:

Make plans to join us for the City’s 31st Annual National Night Out and Concert event! This annual event is held to remind the Walnut community how we can prevent crime through neighborhood involvement. This citywide get-together is an opportunity for residents of Walnut to enjoy a great concert while getting to know the Mayor and City Council, fellow neighbors, as well as personnel from the Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff’s Station. Food Trucks will be on-hand selling delicious meals, snacks and other refreshments. Call 909-595-7543 for more information.

Kids’ Night Out

Do you need some extra time for yourself, but are wondering what to do with the kids? Sign them up for Kids’ Night Out! Children ages 5 to 12 years will enjoy an evening of fun with crafts, games, dinner, dessert, popcorn and movies. Each night will have a different theme! Cost is $17 for the first child and $13 for each additional child from the same immediate family. Please bring a sleeping bag or blanket to rest on during the movie. *Extended Night Out: Extend your night out to MIDNIGHT for an additional fee.

Photo Policy: On occasion, staff or independent photographers of the Community Services Department may take photographs or videos of participants in our programs, parks, and special events. Please be aware that these are for the department's use in future brochures, pamphlets or for local public access. If you object to having photos of you or your family used for future publication, you should notify the photographer at the time the photo is taken.
