Animal Control Licensing Field Enforcement
Officers from the Department of Animal Care and Control (DACC) will be conducting field licensing enforcement in the City of Walnut beginning on Wednesday, March 28th, 2018. Field enforcement efforts are designed to ensure those residents' dogs and cats are in compliance with licensing requirements and the mandatory spay/neuter.
The licensing fees for City residents are as follows:
- Unaltered dog - $72.00
- Altered dog - $27.00
- Altered dog belonging to a senior citizen (Age 60+) - $9.50
- Altered dog belonging to a disabled military veteran - $7.50
- Unaltered cat - $10
- Altered cat - $5
- Penalty fee - Equal to the license fee
